Whohooooooo! My feet are still tickling!

 Gudauri is the biggest ski area in Georgia. Seven lifts bring the people to the top 3279m above sea level. Fun for everybody for sure. There are tracks for beginners, 57km blue, red and black pistes and a lot of snow around for freeriding. Although as difficult as you want. Even paragliding and heliskiing are possible.

For only 12€ (30Lari) there is still enough snow at the beginning of April.

But we want something different! We want the back side of the mountain. We want snow that no one had touched before.

So we put our snowboard on the back, the snow shoes under the feet and started walking. For me the first time. It is not too steep, so I get used to the little strange walking very fast. But “Heidenei!”, it is so exhausting. Half way up we have to rest for a while. Two more times I need cookies and at the end every 5 meters a break for breathtaking. The sun is a great motivation at this day. There is not even one cloud on the sky. So, after 4 hours I reach the ridge. I’m a proud on myself!

For half an hour we enjoy the view and eat everything left.

Then it starts. Snowboards on. High five. Enjoy…………………

Whoever has ever done a snowtour knows this feeling. For all the others: Sorry. The feeling to be the first who touch the snow you cannot explain! Whohooooooooooo! As I told you. Think about it – the feet start to tickle again!
